Lancome Products Review

#LookMeinMyLashes #contest
#Influenster

I was recently picked on Influenster to review Six Lancome Products free in exchange for an honest review and testing purposes.

I received The Lancome sharpener. It is a great size fo travel o fitting into your everyday makeup bag. It works great! I tried one I already had by another brand and it didn't leave a nice tip on the eyeliners I received. The Lancome one though left a perfect tip. I honestly would only use this one now on my two eyeliners I received.

I received their Visionnaire Eye Cream Advanced Multi-Correcting Eye Balm as well. It is designed to reduce the appearance of puffiness, crow's feet, and fatigue. It is easy to apply, absorbs well and doesn't leave any residue behind on your skin Very gentle on the skin and doesn't irritate it at all.

I also received their Definicils High Definition Mascara in Black. It has a very nice wand that grabs each lash and coats them very well. It is a very nice formula that is somewhat buildable. It can dry a little fast so you have to keep building. Once it is dry that is it. It gives nice length and definition. It doesn't really give you volume though. The formula is touchable after it dries. I didn't have it flake or irritate my eyes at all even on long days. It does come in a few color choices.

There were also two Drama Liqui-Pencil Longwear Eyeliner. I received one in the color Noir and one in Ampoule. Noir is a very intense dark black kohl liner. Ampoule is a pretty metallic purple with flecks that really catch the light nicely. They are pencils but they are so soft it reminds you of a liquid liner when you apply them. You can smoke them out if you do it right away before they set. Once they set they are pretty much staying as is until you remove it. I love the versatility of these. You can achieve almost endless looks with these liners. They work great on the water line or tight lining as well. They do last even on the waterline. These come in a huge array of other colors as well.

I love that they included their cult classic BI-FACIL Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover. Just shake it up and it is ready to use. I prefer to use it on a cotton pad but a cotton ball works too. It worked liked magic taking off the other products they sent me. It has a pleasant smell that fades after use. It doesn't irritate your eyes or your skin. Just hold the cotton on the makeup a few seconds then it will remove it easily. No harsh rubbing needed. It left my skin feeling refreshed, hydrated and clean.

I used the balm first. While doing my makeup I used the mascara and both liners. Ampoule was used under my lower lashes and in my crease smudged/smoked out. Noir was used to tight line and on my waterline. At the end of the day, the makeup remover took it all off!

Overall I loved all the products I received. I would definitely recommend them. I will be getting more of the liners in other colors! I think they are fabulous! Everything I received I would repurchase.

Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo
#DryShampooAddict #Contest
#UnileverDryShampooVoxbox
#Influenster

I was picked on Influenster to review The Suave Professionals Keratin Infused Dry Shampoo free in exchange for an honest review and testing purposes.

I received a huge 4.3-ounce aerosol spray can of dry shampoo. The aerosol can is easy to use and control. The dry shampoo goes on dry with no residue just as it claims. It has a wonderful scent that lasted all day. I could still smell it the next morning. It is for all hair types. It is keratin infused and refreshes your hair between shampoos by absorbing oils, reviving body, and extending blowouts, curls, and style.

When using simply shake the can before and during use. Lift sections of hair and spray from 8-10 inches away aiming at the root where hair is most oily. Massage through and then brush.

This was actually my first experience with dry shampoo. It was extremely easy to use and worked perfectly. My hair looked clean, smelled fresh and had lots of bounce and body after use. I used it the next morning after I washed and styled my hair. It really helped and kept my hair looking clean all day long. Some people use it the night before right before bed so it has the night to work on the oil. I found it easier for me to use in the morning. I just sprayed, massaged and finger styled my hair. It gave my hair lift and brought my messy curls back to life.

I am very surprised how well dry shampoo really does work. I would definitely recommend it. This would be great on road trips and when camping too. I plan on keeping some on hand from now on. What I love about this product is that it doesn't leave a white haze on your hair. It doesn't clump or deposit any powdery residue onto your hair. I like that it lasted all day on my hair and the scent is so clean and refreshing. It lingers into the next day if you don't wash it beforehand.

My second-day hair and messy curls after applying the dry shampoo above.

If you are looking for a great dry shampoo that works any hair type this might definitely be the one for you. It will perk your hair up and give it a light luster of shine like you just washed, dried and styled it.

Rachel Ray Nutrish™ Zero Grain
#Influenster #Nutrishzerograin #voxbox

I was picked on Influenster to receive the Rachel Ray Nutrish™ Zero Grain vox box free in exchange for an honest review.

What I received was a 3lb bag of Rachel Ray NutrishZero Grain cat food in the chicken and potato recipe.

Not sure how she knew it was for her, but my cat, Kittles, came right up to the box to inspect and investigate. She seemed curious and excited at the same time. I was trying to open it and as I was trying to open the bag she was trying to stick her nose in for a sniff.

Kittles is a 12-year-old rescue kitty I adopted when she was 6 weeks old from a no kill rescue/shelter. She loves when we get food and treats from companies to test. She definitely likes this cat food. It was really hard introducing it into her diet slowly because she would try and stick her head in the bag and she would meow for it.

So far we are both happy with Nutrish Zero Grain. As it states on the Rachel Ray website:
Rachael Ray Nutrish® Zero Grain for Cats Chicken & Potato Recipe is made with simple, natural ingredients, plus the vitamins and other minerals your cat needs for a complete and balanced diet. Never any grains, glutens or fillers.
  • U.S farm-raised chicken is the #1 ingredient
  • Zero grains, glutens or fillers
  • Zero poultry by-product meal
  • No artificial preservatives, colors or artificial flavors

Ingredients

Chicken, Chicken Meal, Dried Ground Peas, Whole Dried Potato, Pea Protein, Chicken Fat (Preserved with Mixed Tocopherols), Tapioca, Natural Flavor, Egg Product, Cranberries, Whole Flax Seed, Dried Plain Beet Pulp, Salt, Choline Chloride, Taurine, DL-Methionine, Vitamin E Supplement, Zinc Sulfate, Ferrous Sulfate, Calcium Carbonate, Niacin, L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate (Source of Vitamin C), Manganese Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Vitamin A Supplement, Thiamine Mononitrate, D-Calcium Pantothenate, Sodium Selenite, Riboflavin Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Source of Vitamin B6), Biotin, Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex (Source of Vitamin K Activity), Vitamin B12 Supplement, Folic Acid, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Cobalt Sulfate, Potassium Iodide.

I love that it is made healthy so that it easier on my cat's system and it keeps her healthy. It has added vitamins and is packed with lots of good ingredients. She likes it and I like that it is a good choice in meals for her. I really like the size of the food. It is little morsels so it easy for her to bite and chew since she is a senior and has trouble with that is the food is large bites. It is packaged well and it doesn't have that generic cheap food smell! It even looks better than a lot of cat foods I have seen over the years.

We will definitely be trying out some of the different flavor choices and seeing how she likes them as well.  If you are looking for a good healthy food for your furbaby by a trusted company I do recommend you trying this out.

Country Crock Review through Influenster

#CountryCrock #MakeItYours Cookie recipe and review through Influenster

I received a coupon from Influenster for a free tub of butter from Country Crock. It also came with a recipe card for the Make It Your Own cookies. For the review, we had to make the cookies and follow the instructions on how to make it yours. You had a base recipe and you needed at the very least two add in ingredients plus any toppings you wanted.

The recipe is pretty simple and easy to make. I did go with the lowest time for the recipe for mine since I made my cookies on the small side.

The hardest part was the part with one egg yolk. Normally I am not the most graceful at separating eggs , but this time, I pulled it off like a champ!

After mixing the wet ingredients well I sifted together the dry ingredients and added them to the wet a little at a time. About 1/3 of the dry at a time.

After everything is mixed well then you throw in your add-ins.

My first add-in choice was Culinary Grade Matcha Green Tea Powder. Two level tablespoonfuls.

My second add-in choice was 3/4 cup dried cranberries. You can adjust this amount if you like.

I made 2 inch balls and slightly flattened them on a cooking mat lined cookie sheet.

Then I added my topping ingredient. I picked sliced Almonds. I sprinkled them on each cookie and pressed them into the dough lightly.

My Make It Yours Matcha Cranberry Almond Cookies turned out amazing. The first night they are a little dry. If you can hold off they are better the next day. They get softer and the taste of the three added ingredients together are lovely and compliment each other so well. I wasn't sure if they would I just wanted to do something different instead of the normal chocolate chips and such. I am very happy with the recipe I made up and they were a huge hit with everyone that tried them.

I have used Country Crock in many ways over the years, but I can honestly say I never even thought about using it for baking. It works wonderful and I would definitely use it again. I did pick the churn style for my review because it is my favorite. It worked amazingly well in baking. I would recommend it to anyone doing some baking and the recipe calls for butter.

What will you add to your own Make It Yours Cookies now?

#TheAmuseBouche by Bite Experience

I was lucky enough not long ago to win a spot in an Influenster Vox Box. #TheAmuseBouche by Bite vox box! I received three full-size lipsticks in three different colors. Pepper, a nude kind of color. Gazpacho, a beautiful red. Beetroot, a gorgeous deep berry wine color. Amuse Bouche lipsticks are sold at Sephora and come in 34 beautiful bold dimensional shades. Handcrafted with an ultra-creamy texture from 12 edible oils and fresh-pressed fruits. You can smell the yummy citrus scent while wearing the moisturizing lipsticks. The pigments are deep and gorgeous with a high color payoff. I'm not much on nude shades, but Pepper I must say is a beautiful shade.

Pepper is a sort of nude shade with a beautiful tone. It is a great daytime lipstick for me. Even on pale skin, it is a very nice color.

Gazpacho is an amazing red shade. I would wear it day or night. Red is one of my favorite shades. This one is beautiful against pale skin.

Beetroot is a gorgeous berry wine pigment. Again day or night for me. It also looks amazing against pale shade skin.

This line of lipsticks is amazing. I can't say I that I have ever tried anything like them before. I am so glad I got the chance to review them and see for myself how great they are. Beautiful bullet packaging. There is even a B pressed right into lipstick itself.

Okay. The only two cons I could find with these three is size and transfer. There is a good amount of product inside the bullet packaging but not compared to most lipsticks. I do wish they were bigger. They wear off relatively fast and transfer onto items like straws and cups very easily. The darker shades do leave a slight stain behind but that I do actually like.

Overall even with the two things I didn't like much I love these lipsticks. The glide on. It doesn't take much product at all to achieve a bold color payoff. There is a slight shine so they aren't matte. I would still recommend them. Even though I hate the transfer I love the lipsticks.

Twelfth Night at Eyre Hall (book 2 in The Erye Trilogy)

Synopsis of Twelfth Night at Eyre Hall By Luccia Gray

About the author:

Luccia Gray

Biography

Luccia Gray was born in London and now lives in the south of Spain with her husband. She has three children and three grandchildren. When she's not reading or writing, she teaches English at an Adult Education Centre and at University. Almost a year ago, she stopped scribbling surreptitiously and decided her life-long dream of stringing words into stories, and stories into novels, should come true, and it did.

Review:

I had the privilege of reading book two in, Luccia Gray's, Erye Hall Trilogy. I picked up where All Hallows at Eyre Hall left off easily. I was able to continue with the story line as if I had just read the first book. As I found with her first book, this was an incredible read. She has a great gift at story telling and it's as if you are right in the story because you can see in your mind the characters, the scenery, and more. She has really captured Charlotte Bronte's style and characters and has done a trilogy worthy of a future classic. I am a huge Jane Eyre fan. If you haven't read the original Jane Eyre you should definitely read it then follow up with Luccia Gray's Trilogy

The story picks up where the first book ends. Immediately it grabs you and pulls you right into the story. You get to experience the story through out the book from each character themselves. The story follows Jane, her family, friends and a few others as it opens up even further into their future. Their loves, loss, pain. There is even a pirate in this one that tries to extort a ransom from Jane, but you'll have to read the book to find out why and for who because I can't possibly give away all the goodies in a review. There is so much packed into 276 pages; secrets, lies, fights, love, a sea journey, a pirate, new family additions, some of the past revealed and so, so much more.

Over all this is definitely a must read in my opinion. If you adore classics like I do, I think you will enjoy this trilogy immensely. I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the third installment of the trilogy due out this year. I'm sure it will also pick the story right up and flow just as book two did. I don't know about you, but I'm patiently waiting for book three. Okay, honestly not completely patient. I am really looking forward to the third book so I can see what happens to Jane and all the others. There is only one thing about the Eyre Hall trilogy that I am not crazy about.. and that is that it will be coming to an end. I'm hopeful in the future Luccia Gray may write more and add to this series of books and continue Jane and the others future even further, hint hint. So have you wandered over to  Amazon and checked out, or purchased the first two books in the series yet? Hurry before book three comes out so you are ready!
